Entretanto, quando se tem uma \u00fanica estrutura met\u00e1lica em contato com o eletr\u00f3lito, sem estar ligada a outro metal, nota-se que ela sofre corros\u00e3o. Essa corros\u00e3o est\u00e1 ligada \u00e0s heterogeneidades do metal e do meio:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Do metal (micropilhas):<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Varia\u00e7\u00f5es na composi\u00e7\u00e3o qu\u00edmica: 98,5% de Fe (ferro), 0,5 a 1,7% de C (carbono) e tra\u00e7os de Si (sil\u00edcio), S (enxofre) e P (f\u00f3sforo);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Presen\u00e7a de inclus\u00f5es (impurezas): f\u00f3sforo, o enxofre, o mangan\u00eas, o sil\u00edcio e o alum\u00ednio;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de tens\u00f5es, contornos de gr\u00e3o, varia\u00e7\u00f5es no tamanho de gr\u00e3o.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Do meio (macropilhas):<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Varia\u00e7\u00f5es na concentra\u00e7\u00e3o, varia\u00e7\u00e3o na aera\u00e7\u00e3o, varia\u00e7\u00e3o da temperatura, varia\u00e7\u00e3o da resistividade el\u00e9trica.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Numa \u00fanica estrutura met\u00e1lica em contato com eletr\u00f3lito, devido heterogeneidades existem v\u00e1rias regi\u00f5es an\u00f3dicas e cat\u00f3dicas, causando a corros\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">A prote\u00e7\u00e3o cat\u00f3dica tem por objetivo criar uma pilha de corros\u00e3o com regi\u00e3o an\u00f3dica artificial (anodo), eliminando as regi\u00f5es an\u00f3dicas da estrutura a ser protegida, tornando-a no catodo da pilha ent\u00e3o formada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Os tipos de prote\u00e7\u00e3o cat\u00f3dica s\u00e3o: galv\u00e2nica e por corrente impressa. A seguir ser\u00e3o apresentados os anodos utilizados para cada tipo de prote\u00e7\u00e3o cat\u00f3dica.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>1. ANODOS USADOS PARA PROTE\u00c7\u00c3O CAT\u00d3DICA GALV\u00c2NICA<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Na prote\u00e7\u00e3o cat\u00f3dica galv\u00e2nica, a corrente de prote\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 promovida pela f.e.m (for\u00e7a eletromotriz) existente entre o metal a ser protegido e outro metal escolhido para anodo. Essa f.e.m \u00e9 resultado de seus diferentes potenciais eletroqu\u00edmicos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">As diferen\u00e7as de potenciais de pares galv\u00e2nicos s\u00e3o pequenas, n\u00e3o superior a 1,2 V.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Ent\u00e3o, ela s\u00f3 \u00e9 eficaz em eletr\u00f3litos de baixa resistividade el\u00e9trica, \u00e1gua do mar e solos de at\u00e9 6.000 ohm.cm<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Como anodos s\u00e3o usados metais com potenciais negativos. S\u00e3o chamados ANODOS DE SACRIF\u00cdCIO por se desgastarem no processo de prote\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Suas principais aplica\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o em:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Dutos enterrados;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Dutos submarinos;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Internamente em dutos de \u00e1gua salgada e petr\u00f3leo bruto;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Plataformas mar\u00edtimas fixas;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Navios e embarca\u00e7\u00f5es;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Interior de tanques de armazenamento de petr\u00f3leo bruto com lastro de \u00e1gua salgada.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Anodos Galv\u00e2nicos-Utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Alum\u00ednio: Utilizados em \u00e1gua salgada, n\u00e3o s\u00e3o utilizados no solo.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Zinco: Utilizados em \u00e1gua salgada, e em solos com resistividades de at\u00e9 1.500 ohm.cm.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Magn\u00e9sio: Utilizados no solo em resistividades de at\u00e9 6.000 ohm.cm. N\u00e3o \u00e9 recomend\u00e1vel seu uso em \u00e1gua salgada devido ao seu alto potencial provocar o desgaste prematuro do mesmo.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>2.
